PANO – Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh visited the Republic of Korea (RoK) from May 18th to 20th at the invitation of the Government of RoK.

At the talks and meetings, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh and Korean officials all expressed joy over the rapid and effective development of the bilateral relationship and cooperation over the past years. The relationship has seen especially vigorous development since the establishment of the strategic cooperation partnership in 2009.

The two sides agreed that the Vietnam-RoK free trade agreement has opened big opportunities for bilateral trade and investment cooperation, providing favourable conditions for the two sides to reach the target of USD 70 billion of two-way trade value. The Government of RoK confirmed that Vietnam is a key ODA partner of RoK and promised to pay more priority to Vietnam in terms of ODA.
