The session, which will last till July 12, brought together representatives from 47 member countries and over 100 observer states, international organizations and non-governmental organizations.

Participants will engage in thematic dialogues, focusing on the rights of women, health care, education rights, human trafficking, and immigration, among others.

They are expected to debate 100 reports of UN experts and engage in thematic working sessions.

They will discuss the final review of the third cycle of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) reports of 14 countries, including Vietnam.

Up to 30 resolutions on cross-cutting human rights issues and human rights situations in particular countries will be introduced, discussed and adopted.

Vietnam, Bangladesh, and the Philippines will present a draft resolution on the rights of persons with disabilities in the context of climate change.
