The fourth of the six volume Czech-Vietnamese encyclopedia was released at the Embassy of Vietnam in Prague, the Czech Republic on November 16.
The dictionary was composed by late Dr. Ivo Vasiljev, a local expert in Vietnamese studies who recently died and Vietnam’s engineer Nguyen Quyet Tien.

Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Truong Manh Son and Chairman of Overseas Vietnamese Association in the country Hoang Dinh Thang delivered speeches to laud Dr.Vasiljev for the completion of the fourth volume of the dictionary and its value for Vietnamese in the country and language lovers.
They also expressed hope that the remaining volumes will be completed by his co-author Nguyen Quyet Tien.
The Czech-Vietnamese encyclopedia comprises of six volumes and won second prize of the Dictionary of the Year award by the Union of Interpreters and Translators of the Czech Republic on May 13 this year.
