PANO - The youth unions of Dien Bien province and the 3 provinces of Phongsaly, Oudomxay and Luang Prabang of Laos are holding a 3-day friendship exchange, which lasts from December 9th-11th in Dien Bien province.

The friendship exchange consists of meaningful and practical contents such as a seminar and a talk held to share experience in implementing youth union activities and movements, art performance and sports exchange activities. The event aims to foster the friendship between the two countries’ youth.

At the event, Secretary of Dien Bien provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Mua A Vang highlighted the Vietnam-Laos traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation, founded by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane. The secretary also stressed that the youth of the province has over the past years cooperated with the youth unions of the Lao provinces in a wide range of areas with practical activities.

For its part, Lao representatives spoke highly of the activities and asked the youth union of Dien Bien province to boost exchange activities and providing more training support for the guests.

As part of the event, the youth unions joined sport and art performance exchange and visited the Dien Bien Phu Victory historical sites.
