PANO - About 700 delegates including approximately 400 international ones will attend the 5th East Asian Seas Congress themed “Global goals, multilateral benefits – Setting the sustainable development agenda for the seas of East Asia beyond 2015” scheduled to take place in Da Nang city from November 16th to 21st.

The event co-held by the Vietnamese Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia is an opportunity for maritime scientists and managers both at home and overseas to share experience, lessons of success and failure, provide information, update knowledge, successes and achievements in the management and sustainable development of the maritime natural resources in East Asian seas. Innovation policies will also be introduced with the goals to contribute to promoting efforts of actions in the future.
The Congress will stage 13 workshops; 3 forums and sideline activities. The East Asian Seas Congress is held every 3 years rotating among its member states.
