Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang emphasized that the Prime Minister’s participation holds great importance. This is the third consecutive year Vietnam has been invited by both the host country, China, and the WEF, reflecting China’s respect for the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries, and the international community’s recognition of Vietnam’s development achievements, strategic orientation, and growing role and reputation on the global stage.

The Prime Minister’s attendance also affirms Vietnam’s respect for and strong support of the host country, thereby contributing to the deepening of the Vietnam–China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and advancing the Vietnam–China Community with a shared future of strategic importance.

This occasion also allows Vietnam to actively participate in addressing regional and global economic and development challenges, affirm its international standing, and convey key messages about Vietnam’s goals, vision, and strategic direction as the country enters a new development phase.

During the trip, the Prime Minister is expected to meet with leaders of other countries, international organizations, and leading corporations to strengthen economic ties, diversify export markets, attract investment, promote cooperation in new strategic sectors, and mobilize resources to achieve Vietnam’s development objectives.

According to Deputy Minister Hang, the Prime Minister’s visit reaffirms that the Party, Government, and people of Vietnam always attach great importance to fostering and developing friendly relations with the Party, Government, and people of China—for the long-term, fundamental interests of both nations and for peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.

The visit is expected to help implement recent high-level agreements effectively and substantively, particularly those reached during the state visit to China by General Secretary and President To Lam in August 2024 and the state visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President Xi Jinping in April 2025.

Senior leaders from both countries will discuss major measures to enhance cooperation in strategic areas such as science and technology, innovation, strategic infrastructure, railway connectivity, finance and currency. They will also seek to improve the quality and effectiveness of trade and investment ties, border economic cooperation, agricultural product trade, urban environment, tourism, and high-quality workforce training.

The two sides will also address ways to manage and resolve maritime differences more effectively, thereby contributing to peace, stability, and cooperation in the region.

Deputy Minister Hang expressed confidence that the Prime Minister’s bilateral and working visit to China will provide fresh momentum for bilateral relations, helping to elevate the Vietnam–China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and the Vietnam–China Community with a shared future to a more stable, healthy, and sustainable trajectory.
