A new project for ethnic minority communities in Dac Nong
On November 9th, in Hanoi, Mr. Vu Van Ninh, Minister of Finance, and Mr. K. Nwanze, President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), signed an “Agreement for Sustainable Economic Development for ethnic minorities” in Dac Nong Province.

The aid includes a preferential loan and a non-refundable grant, worth US$ 19.9 million, of which US$ 2.3 million, US$ 900,000 and US$ 700,000 come from Dac Nong Province, the Vietnam Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development, and other donors, respectively.
The five-year project aims to improve the living standards of poor households and ethnic minority people in Dac Nong Province, and increase the incomes of impoverished ethnic minority groups, especially women.
