Vietnamese professor Chau Van Minh awarded France’s Legion of Honor
PANO – Nicolas Warnery, Ambassador of France to Vietnam, awarded the “Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur” (National Order of the Legion of Honor) to Professor Chau Van Minh, President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, in Hanoi.

The order aims to honor his contributions to promoting the Vietnam – France cooperation in science, technology, education, and training.
Particularly, as President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, he exerted his utmost efforts to support and enhance the cooperation in training, and transfer of several key technologies in the 21st century between French research institutes and the academy.
For his great contribution, Prof. Minh is the first Vietnamese working in natural sciences and technology to receive the highest French order of merit.
