It is also expected to contribute to educating Vietnamese and Russian young people about the traditional friendship between the two countries, while promoting the land, people and development achievements of Vietnam.

In his opening remarks, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Le Quoc Phong, who is also Chairman of the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam, highlighted the Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership as well as developments in bilateral cooperation in youth affairs.

The forum offers a chance for young people and those working in youth affairs of the two countries to share information about and experience in this sector, especially in volunteer work, new-style rural area building and support to startups, he said.

Chairman of the Russian Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Alexander Bugayev expressed his hope that youths will work as junior ambassadors who contribute to developing collaboration in youth affairs and people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and Russia.
