Vietnam, Netherlands enhance people-to-people exchange

An overview of the celebration

Addressing the ceremony in Hanoi, Professor Dao Xuan Hoc, Chairman of the Vietnam - Netherlands Friendship and Cooperation Association, expressed his delight at the fruitfully, effectively, and intensively growing relations between the two countries in all spheres.

He underlined the Netherlands' in-depth contribution in terms of agricultural technology and enterprises, including the development of high-quality seeds and improving the quality of Vietnamese agricultural products, that have helped Vietnam get achievements in agriculture.

The Vietnamese official confirmed that the association will exert all-out efforts to contribute to enhancing the relationship between people of the two countries, thus further promoting the Vietnam - Netherlands friendship.

In his speech, Dutch Ambassador to Vietnam Kees van Baar expressed  his pride of the two countries’ achievements in various fields. He believed that the bilateral relations will continue to develop in the coming time.

In the framework of the event, the university and the association organized a technical seminar on irrigation, natural disaster prevention and control, and climate change during which participants reviewed and exchanged technical solutions for coast protection.

Thuy Loi University is an important coordinating agency for technical cooperation in water resources, natural disaster prevention, and control between Vietnam and the Netherlands.
