Vietnam, Myanmar to boost all-round cooperation
PANO – At the invitation of the Party Central Committee, the high-level delegation of the National League for Democracy Party (NLD) of Myanmar, led by Mr. U Thein Oo, member of the Central Executive Committee, Head of the Financial Committee and member of the Economic Committee of the NLD, is on a visit to Vietnam from July 1 to 5.
On July 3, National Assembly Permanent Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong, at the reception for the Myanmar delegation, expressed the hope to see more contributions of the NLD, as the ruling party with significant influence in the Myanmar’s Assembly of the Union, to boosting cooperation between Vietnam and Myanmar in the coming time, especially in economy, trade, and investment.

The two legislative bodies should also cooperate more closely to supervise the implementation of contents signed by the two governments so as to boost all-round cooperation of the two countries.
Mr. U Thein Oo confirmed that the NLD would contribute actively to strengthening relations between deputies of legislative bodies of Myanmar and Vietnam.
Earlier, the delegation of the Vietnam Communist Party led by Head of the Central Commission for External Affairs Hoang Binh Quan and the delegation of the NLD held talks.
