Vietnam-Japan Cooperation Center opened
PANO - A launching ceremony of the Vietnam-Japan Cooperation Center was held on September 28 in Hanoi.
This is a scientific and technological organization with its function to mobilize domestic and foreign resources to support people-to-people exchange activities.
Accordingly, the center will organize and support the implementation of scientific research projects and technology transfers, as well as promote economic and cultural exchange activities between the two countries.
Speaking at the ceremony, Bui Khac Son, Vice President of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Standing Vice Chairman of Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association and Director of the Vietnam-Japan Cooperation Center, affirmed that 45 years since the establishment of the diplomatic relations, Japan has become a leading partner for Vietnam. The center was established to support, create favorable conditions, expand and enhance the quality of economic, cultural, political and social exchange activities for Vietnamese and Japanese people, he added.
According to Don Tuan Phong, Vice President and General Secretary of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the establishment of the Vietnam-Japan Cooperation Center is an important event. He hoped that the center will recruit a contingent of qualified staff and collaborators who will closely cooperate with the Vietnamese and Japanese partners to become a bridge for the friendship and cooperation between the two peoples in the coming time.
