Vietnam, India boost parliamentary cooperation
PANO - National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan received Indian Vice President and Chairman of the Upper House of the Parliament Venkaiah Naidu on May 10 in Hanoi.
The guest is on an official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Vietnamese Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh and to attend the UN Day of Vesak 2019 held in Vietnam.

At the reception, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan stated that India has always been a good friend of Vietnam and congratulated India on its socio-economic achievement. She believed that the election to the Lower House of the Indian Parliament would be successful.
The guest held that in recent years, the relations between Vietnam and India has been growing in all aspects, especially after the two countries upgraded the bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
He agreed that the cooperation between the two legislative bodies have strengthened the friendship parliamentarians’ groups and organized several exchanges of delegations at all levels.
The Vietnamese NA Chairwoman suggested boosting people-to-people exchanges and cooperation between ministries, sectors, localities and businesses while expanding joint investment projects and upholding the role of friendship associations and friendship parliamentary groups in each country.
