He said that these efforts have become bridges to promote increasingly effective and substantive development of the bilateral relationship.

The Vietnamese official conveyed State President To Lam's congratulations to President Luis Abinader on his re-election for the second consecutive term in the general election held on May 19.

He expressed his appreciation for the contributions by Mejia to the development of relations between the two countries.

For his part, Mejia emphasized that his visit aims to further deepen the fruitful political and diplomatic relations, and expand the economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the two countries, especially in potential fields such as trade, agriculture, telecommunications, construction, energy, and oil and gas industry.

The two sides agreed to closely coordinate and actively take measures to strengthen the bilateral relations in the time to come through Party-to-Party, State-to-State, and people-to-people diplomacy channels, including promoting high-level delegation exchanges, connecting and supporting businesses, enhancing cooperation, and supporting each other at international organizations and multilateral forums, especially the United Nations.
