Regarding ethnic affairs, the official proposed the State Ethnic Affairs Commission of China and the Government Committee for Ethnic Affairs of Vietnam increase experience sharing in developing policies and mobilizing resources to care for ethnic groups. He also suggested holding exchanges between the two countries’ ethnic groups at border areas.
Bianba Zhaxi affirmed his commitment to advancing cooperation in ethnic affairs between the two sides.
Vietnam is home to 54 ethnic groups, while 56 ethnic groups are living together in China. The two countries’ Parties and States have attached great importance to ethnic work, thanks to which the lives of ethnic minorities have increasingly improved.
The State Ethnic Affairs Commission of China and the Government Committee for Ethnic Affairs of Vietnam signed a cooperation agreement in December last year.
