At the meetings, Nghia expressed his thanks to the people and leftist, communist and progressive forces of Brazil for the solidarity, friendship and support that they gave Vietnam in the past struggle for liberation and national reunification as well as national building and safeguarding at present.

He highlighted achievements Vietnam has obtained after nearly 40 years of implementing the Doi moi (renewal), affirming that the country continues to implement a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation and development, diversification and multilateralization of international relations, and attaches importance to developing traditional friendly and cooperative relations with neighboring countries, major countries and traditional friendly countries, including Latin American nations.

Leaders of Brazilian political parties congratulated Vietnam on its important achievements gained in recent times, especially in socio-economic development, Party building and foreign affairs, and expressed their belief that Vietnam will continue to obtain even greater achievements in the renewal process and successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, considering this a valuable example and lesson for political parties in Brazil and Latin America. They affirmed that they will closely coordinate with Vietnam in promoting the effective implementation of joint statements and agreements between high-ranking leaders of the two countries and continue to support each other at international and regional forums to deal with global challenges given the extremely complicated developments in the world situation.

Nghia and the leaders of the Communist Party and the Workers' Party of Brazil signed a cooperative agreement for the 2024-2029 period to contribute to strengthening and promoting the Vietnam-Brazil relationship on the basis of respecting each other's independence, sovereignty, equality and non-interference in each other's internal affairs. The two sides agreed to continue to deepen the traditional friendship, solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and political trust between the Parties, the two States and peoples of the two countries, bringing benefits to the people of each country, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in each region and the world. They pledged to step up communication work, effectively implement agreements, create breakthroughs in cooperation in economics, trade, investment, science and technology and innovation, encourage people-to-people exchanges between the two countries and closely coordinate and support each other at multilateral forums.
