Vietnam and Japan join hands for a world without nuclear weapons
PANO - The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) hosted a reception for a delegation from the Japan Council against Atomic and Hydrogen Bombs (Japan Gensuikyo) in Hanoi on November 18.
At the reception, VUFO’s Vice Chairman Bach Ngoc Chien said that the war in Vietnam was over, but its severe consequences UXO and toxic chemicals still cause direct harm to people’s health and living environment.

Therefore, VUFO will continue to join hands with the Japan Gensuikyo for a peaceful world without nuclear weapons.
For his part, Japan's Gensuikyo Director Hiroshi Taka underlined that the organization has actively supported Vietnam, especially in issues related to Orange Agent/dioxin victims.
Since its establishment in 1955, Japan Gensuikyo has carried out a number of activities such as peace demonstrations and signature collections to fight against nuclear wars as well as assisted nuclear victims worldwide.
