A handover ceremony was held in the presence of senior officials from both countries at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi.

Among the attendees were Nguyen Van Tien, Deputy Director of Vietnam’s Disaster and Dyke Management Authority, and I.S. Nesterov, Chargé d'Affaires of Russia in Vietnam.

Nesterov expressed condolences on behalf of the Russian Government and people, acknowledging the severe loss of life and destruction caused by the typhoon.

He emphasized the longstanding tradition of mutual support between Russia and Vietnam, stating: "Our two nations have a history of standing by each other during difficult times. This aid, delivered by the Russian Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief, reflects the deep bond of friendship between our peoples over the past 75 years."

Nesterov added that he hopes the aid will help victims return to normal life as quickly as possible.

Vietnamese officials expressed their gratitude for Russia's timely support, noting the importance of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
