Russia presents Vietnam with 1,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccine
PANO - The Ministry of Health (MoH) on March 16 received 1,000 doses of the COVID-19 Sputnik V vaccine as a gift from the Russian Federation to Vietnam, according to Dang Viet Hung, Director of the MoH’s Department of International Cooperation.

This gift was presented by Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation on the occasion of his two day working visit to Vietnam.
The vaccine is being stored in the cold storage of the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology and its use will strictly follow government-issued mandates.
Vietnam is negotiating to purchase some 60 million doses of Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine.
So far, over 50 countries from all over the world have approved the use of this kind of vaccine.
