Italy’s 73rd National Day marked in Hanoi
PANO – The Vietnam-Italy Friendship Association (VIFA) under the Vietnam Union of the Friendship Organizations (VUFO) held an exchange in Hanoi on May 31 in celebration of the 73rd anniversary of the National Day of Italy (June 2).
At the event, VIFA President Nguyen Van Nam expressed his delight at the strong growth in the Vietnam-Italy relations over the past years, particularly in politics, socio-economy, culture, education, people-to-people diplomacy, and cooperation in multilateral fora, especially between ASEAN and the European Union (EU).

He also stressed that, as an important member of the EU, a proactive member of the UN and many other organizations, Italy has made contributions to the regional and global peace, development, and win-win cooperation.
For his turn, Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Antonio Alessandro held that in the coming time, both sides should promote cooperation activities such as people-to-people and cultural exchanges to help enhance their mutual understanding and strengthen the two countries’ relationship.
