Attending the event were former Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan and Bulgarian Ambassador to Vietnam Pavlin Todorov.

In a warm and cordial atmosphere, the participants looked back upon 75 years of relations with, sharing and mutual support. A representative of the association expressed profound gratitude to the Bulgarian people for their invaluable assistance to Vietnam during wartime and national reconstruction, while voicing pride in the time-honored friendship between the two countries. She also expressed thanks to journalists from leading Bulgarian media outlets, who came to report on Vietnam’s 80th National Day celebrations and shared positive impressions of Vietnam and its people.

In her speech, President of the association Lieutenant General Le Thu Ha emphasized that the two countries’ friendship has been for 75 years, spanning three to four generations of Vietnamese and Bulgarians, yet time seems unable to diminish the affection and attachment of these long-standing friends. The bond between the people of both countries is truly the most precious asset of the Vietnam - Bulgaria traditional friendship.
