Cuban Ambassador awarded Friendship Order
PANO - Deputy-Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc on September 15 presented the Friendship Order – the noble distinction of the Vietnamese State – to the outgoing Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Herminio Lopez Diaz.
Addressing the event, the Deputy-Foreign Minister appreciated highly the Ambassador’s contributions to arranging mutual visits at all levels as well as maintaining and promoting the efficiency of the existing bilateral cooperation mechanisms.

During his tenure, the Cuban Ambassador contributed to accelerating the negotiations, signing and implementing of bilateral cooperation agreements, especially in economy, trade, investment, agriculture, fisheries, education-training, medicine-pharmaceuticals, finance-banking, and exchanges between socio-political organizations.
For his part, the Ambassador expressed the honor to receive the Order and affirmed that the Cuban leaders and people always remember the solidarity and valuable supports of the Vietnamese Party, State and people for Cuban revolutionary cause.
He also hoped to continue contributing to strengthening the special relations between Vietnam and Cuba.
