Banquet marks China-Vietnam diplomatic ties
PANO - The Chinese Embassy in Vietnam held a banquet on January 18 in Hanoi to mark the 74th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Vietnam diplomatic ties (January 18, 1950 - 2024).
The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang and representatives of ministries, departments, and sectors. Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Deputy Minister of National Defense, represented leaders of the Vietnamese Defense Ministry to join the banquet.

Speaking at the event, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo emphasized that over the past 74 years since the establishment of the diplomatic ties, the Vietnam-China relationship has positively and comprehensively developed.
He said that under the leadership of Party General Secretaries Nguyen Phu Trong and Xi Jinping, the bilateral relationship has been continuously strengthened. He affirmed that China is ready to work with Vietnam to continue to deepen and raise the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries to a new height and promote mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang also affirmed that the Party, State, and people of Vietnam are ready to join the Party, State, and people of China in deeply grasping and effectively implementing the common perception of senior leaders and continue to obtain new achievements, thus bringing the relationship between the two parties and two countries into a new stage of development with higher political trust, more substantive and deeper cooperation.
