PANO – The Ho Chi Minh City branch of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Thai National Food Institute co-organized a trade exchange for their businesses in Ho Chi Minh City on January 30th.

Nearly 150 companies of both countries attended the event and showcased their products, ranging from food to restaurant and hotel businesses.

It was the third time the Thai institute sent its businesses to Vietnam to strengthen the bilateral economic cooperation and help its businesses to find partners and markets.

At the exchange, the Thai companies hoped for deeper cooperation with Vietnamese partners, especially in food import and distribution.

At present, Thailand is among ten largest goods trading partners of Vietnam.

In 2014, Thailand ranks tenth among 101 countries and territories worldwide, and third among ASEAN member countries investing in Vietnam, with 371 projects totaling more than US$ 6.6 billion.
