A Vietnamese Goods Fair 2011 will be held in Yangon, Myanmar, from November 17th to November 20th, according to the Trade Promotion Department, under the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

Numerous products of nearly 80 businesses, including garment and textiles, leather footwear, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, mechanics, electrical, electronics and processing materials will be on display.

The fair aims to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries in economy, trade and investment as well as promote images of Vietnamese businesses and their trademarks.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Myanmar’s production can only meet 20 percent of its consumer need. So, the fair is seen as an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to increase exports to this market.
