Vietnam exported over US$79 million worth of goods to Algeria in the first nine months of the year, representing a year-on-year increase of 2.5 percent, according to statistics released by the Algerian Customs.
Rice and frozen seafood registered increases of over US$7 million, reaching US$16.8 million and US$7.6 million respectively.
Footwear exports posted a year-on-year increase of 646 percent, fetching more than US$2.4 million.
Coffee exports earned US$43.9 million, a decrease of 40 percent compared with the same period last year.
However, most Vietnam’s exports to Algeria have to go through a third country.
