A Vietnamese delegation led by State Auditor General Dinh Tien Dung is attending the 12th Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) congress in Jaipur, India from February 29 - March 3.
The focus of discussion was on the organization’s mid-term strategic plan for the 2011-2015 period, its cooperation with the European Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) and reports on information technology by the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI)’s working group.
Meeting on the sidelines of the congress, 10 state audit agencies from ASEAN member countries agreed on an action plan for four related committees.
Earlier, on February 28, Vietnam’s Auditor General Dung and his Myanmar counterpart Lunn Maung signed a memorandum of understanding on the two countries’ cooperation in the sector while attending the 44th ASOSAI executive meeting in the 2009-2012 period.
In addition, he also held a number of bilateral meetings with many members of ASOSAI to promote bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
At the plenary session of the ASOSAI congress on March 3, participants will vote for members of the executive board and auditing committee in the 2012-2015 period.
