World investors consider Vietnam one of the leading markets in the world, according to a survey by the UK Trade and Investment agency.

This is the third consecutive year Vietnam has been chosen by international investors as a leading market outside the strongly developing economies of the BRIC bloc (Brazil, Russia, India and China).

The UK Trade and Investment agency and the Economist Group jointly conducted the survey of 520 senior corporate leaders in all fields. Most of the respondents said that they are willing to do business in the emerging markets or are planning to operate there in the next two years.

These corporate officials predicted that the emerging markets would be global growth engines in the near future. They cited three leading markets for investors in the next two years as China (20 percent), Vietnam (19 percent), and India (18 percent).

The UK Secretary for Business, Vince Cable, said the global balance of economic power is tilting toward the emerging markets and British companies are pouring investment capital into them.
