The Hanoi Railway Station began selling 20% of its Tet (Lunar New Year Festival) tickets through SMS as of January 19th.

After texting messages, costing VND 10,000 each, customers will receive a reply, within 10 seconds, for confirmation, then, they have to text back their confirmation within 30 minutes. Then, passengers will have to make payments at Vietinbank’s branches within 24 hours to keep their booking.

At the railway station, passengers need to show the bank’s receipts and their IDs to get tickets.
