Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai, and Central Steering Board 127, paid a working visit to An Giang Province on July 20th.
Briefing the provincial socio-economic situations to the delegation, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Vuong Binh Thanh said that trade between the border province and Cambodia is on the move.
The two-way trade, via the 5 local border gates, has seen a sharp rise and the turnover has reached US $438 million since the beginning of the year.
The Deputy Minister appraised and commended the province’s efforts and results; he then urged local authorities and businesses to further develop infrastructure along the borderline creating favourable conditions for trade and improving living conditions for local people.
He also pointed to the province’s advantages and asked it to use its strength to gain further achievements with provincial socio-economic development.
