As many as 191 companies from 29 countries and territories around the world will display their products at the 2nd Viet Nam International Feed and Livestock Industry Expo (Vietstock) 2006 scheduled for Ho Chi Minh City from Dec. 6-8.

The exhibits will include cattle-feeds, veterinary medicines and various equipment used in animal husbandry, said Dr. Hoang Kim Giao, Vice Director of the Department for Livestock Production under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, at a press briefing on Dec. 4.

Vietstock 2006 will offer local breeders, feed producers and meat processors a chance to gain access to advanced technologies and the latest products.

A delegation from the British Pig Association (BPA) led by Chris Jackson, Export Promoter for the BPA, will also take part in the event, according to a news release by the United Kingdom Embassy in Ha Noi.

The delegation will comprise representatives from Meriden Animal Health Ltd., Taylor Livestock Consultancy Ltd., UPB Ltd., Middleton Livestock Services Ltd. and Positive Action Publications.

Jackson will share his own experiences as a breeder of pedigree pigs with Vietnamese colleagues at a seminar to be held during the exhibition.

Martyn Skinner, UK Trade and Investment Advisor, is accompanying the mission to assist with enquiries on trade between UK and Vietnamese businesses, said the news release.
