Viettel introduces IT products at MWC 2017
PANO – The military-run Viettel Group is attending the 2017 Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in Barcelona, Spain, from February 27 to March 2. This is the second time the group has attended this event.
With the message “Technology solutions for smart society,” Viettel further proposed its vision and special measures in creating smart society, especially in developing countries.
Accordingly, Viettel introduced IT products based on telecommunication platforms, which have been successfully applied in Vietnam and its international markets. Some of them are online Wallet (V-Wallet), e-government, sales management solution for distribution chains (DMS), and more. Particularly, Viettel has first adopted efficient solutions to protect its mobile users from malicious codes and spam messages.
Tao Duc Thang, Deputy General Director of Viettel Group, said that Viettel had opportunities for its operations in international markets.
This year, the group signed many important agreements in different markets. So far, Viettel ha been operating in 11 countries in Asia, Africa, and America. Accordingly, the group successfully provided 4G networks in five countries, creating favorable conditions for Viettel to develop smart applications to all customers.
Since 2016, Viettel has had over 100 million customers worldwide, one of the world’s top 30 best used telecommunication groups. On January 2017, Viettel was officially approved to operate in Myanmar – its 11th market.
