The newly-appointed coach won trust from the Viettel FC managing board and undertook the role as acting coach in Round 11 but officially coached the team from Round 12.

Hai Bien confided that despite pressure from the new position, he could have kept his mind on work, thanks to prompt encouragement from the club’s leadership.

“Viettel FC has not well performed since the beginning of the season, and now it is time for the whole players to try their best to overcome this difficult period and achieve the set targets,” said Hai Bien.

From Round 14, Viettel FC’s formation will be strengthened with midfielder Trong Hoang while midfielder Hoang Duc is expected to return from an injury. Meanwhile, striker Joao Paulo continues to be a good goal scorer and midfielder Duc Chien has gradually improved his performance.

Besides, Bien chose striker Kayo Cesar to team with Paulo to intensify the team’s attack. The two attackers often play well in team.

As it is a newbie at such a tough ride as V-League, Viettel FC is determined to affirm the team’s professional competence, hone young players’ skills, and secure a berth in V-League 2020.

To meet this end, besides their great efforts, the team also needs luck, Bien concluded.
