Vietnam’s overseas investment reaches USD 120 million in Q1
Vietnamese businesses invested USD 120 million in 18 countries and territories in the first three months of this year, according to the Foreign Investment Agency of the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
The figure included over USD 80 million in new registered capital and nearly USD 40 million as additional capital of existing projects.

Science and technology accounted for 56.5 percent of the new and added investment capital, or USD 67.8 million.
Banking came in second, with USD 36 million, or 30 percent of the total, followed by wholesale and retail, USD 10.7 million, or USD 8.9 million.
Spain was the largest recipient of Vietnamese investment in the reviewed time, followed by Cambodia and the US.
