VietinBank partners with Japanese banks
The Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) and the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. (BTMU) have inked a trilateral cooperation agreement with Yamanashi Chuo Bank, Ltd (YamanashiBank) and Joyo Bank, Ltd (JoyoBank).

Under the agreement signed on December 15, VietinBank will provide customers of JoyoBank and YamanashiBank with financial services including information on market, economy, politics and investment in Vietnam.
VietinBank will also offer consultation about requirements and financial demands of authorized agencies such as standby letter of credit, letter of guarantee, and mergers and acquisitions.
It is expected to introduce joint ventures and business partners as well as supply banking transaction services such as cash management, e-banking, trade support, foreign exchange, fund products, and other capital markets.
