Vietnamese banana sold at a Lotte supermarket in the RoK

The country exported 2,900 tons of banana worth 2.3 million USD to the market, an annual increase of 13.6 percent in volume and 48.3 percent in value, the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) citied the KITA’s figures.

The RoK imported a total of 155,300 tons of bananas valued at 131.5 million USD throughout the reviewed period, up 3.4 percent in volume and 8 percent in value year on year, according to the association.

Bananas remain a popular fruit in the RoK, although they must be imported due to unfavourable local farming conditions.
