Women’s national team step up preparations for AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 finals
The Vietnam women’s national football team will launch its first training camp of 2026 as part of preparations for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 finals, set to take place in Australia from March 1–21.
Beginning on January 14, Head Coach Mai Duc Chung has named a 28-player squad for training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, while the coaching staff continue to scout and develop promising young talents.

During this key preparation phase, the team will travel to China for a training camp from February 7–14 to increase competitive exposure, refine tactics and fine-tune their playing style, aiming to reach peak condition ahead of the continental showpiece.
At the finals, Vietnam have been drawn in Group C alongside Japan, India and Taiwan (China). According to the tournament format, the top two teams in each group, along with the two best third-placed sides, will progress to the quarter-finals.
Vietnam will kick off their campaign against India on March 4, before facing Taiwan (China) on March 7 and Japan on March 10. All three matches will be played at Perth Rectangular Stadium in Australia.
