According to the latest rankings, Brazil’s national team remains world number one in both women’s and men’s futsal. In the women’s rankings, the top six positions remain unchanged from the December 2025 release: Brazil, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Italy, and Japan. They are followed by Thailand and Colombia.
The May 2026 women’s futsal rankings are based on 84 newly recorded international matches, including 18 games from the qualifiers for the UEFA Women’s Futsal EURO 2027 and 66 friendly matches.

In men’s futsal, Brazil continues to hold the world number one spot following their victory at the CONMEBOL Copa América de Futsal 2026, their 12th title in history. Portugal, Spain, Argentina, and Iran complete the top five.
