The draw took place on April 28 at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. According to the draw results, the group also includes Kyrgyzstan, Hong Kong (China), and Singapore.

The qualifiers will run from August 2-10, featuring 33 teams competing for 11 spots in the finals in Thailand in 2026. The teams are divided into eight groups, seven with four teams and one with five.

The matches will follow a round-robin format in Bhutan, China, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. The group winners, along with the three best runners-up, will join the host nation Thailand in the 12-team final tournament, scheduled to take place from April 1-18, 2026.

Following their qualification for the 2024 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup in Uzbekistan, the Vietnamese team is optimistic about repeating their success in the 2026 edition.
