Vietnam bags silver medal at World Taekwondo Championships
PANO - Vietnamese athlete Truong Thi Kim Tuyen on June 25 won a silver medal in the 54kg category at the 2017 World Taekwondo Championships in the Republic of Korea.

This is the first silver medal of Vietnam at the World Taekwondo Championships. Earlier, the highest result of the Vietnamese team at the tournament of this kind was bronze medal.
Tuyen defeated her rival, Napaporn Charanawat from Thailand, 9-8 in the semifinal round, but unfortunately in the final round, Tuyen lost Sim Jea-Young from RoK, with the score 9-18.
The 2017 World Taekwondo Championships will last until June 30.
