Leaders of the General Staff congratulate the Viet Nam People’s Army volleyball team on reaching the final.

Fielding their strongest lineup, head coach Tran Dinh Tien’s players dominated the first set, winning 25-13 after just 19 minutes of play. Entering the second set, the VPA team utilized a core of young players, including Van Nam, Thanh Tung, and Xuan Sinh. Despite allowing the opponents to take a 7-5 lead, the host team quickly regained control to win 25-20.

In the third set, the VPA team maintained their young core and a confident competitive spirit. Despite fierce resistance from the Singapore Armed Forces team, the high-performing host players secured a 25-20 victory.

With a convincing 3-0 overall sweep in just 1 hour and 12 minutes, the VPA team officially advanced to the final. In the second semifinal match that followed, the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security club defeated the Myanmar Armed Forces team 3-1.

Consequently, the final match between the VPA team and Ho Chi Minh City Public Security takes place at 7:00 p.m. August 25.
