American coaches offer training for Hanoi female soccer team
PANO - Two American female soccer coaches, Linda Hamilton and Lisa Berg, offered physical, skill and strategy training for Hanoi city’s female soccer team and exchange experiences with Vietnamese coaches during their visit to Vietnam this month.

This activity is part of the Sports Envoy program, organized by the US State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
During the first visit to Vietnam, the Sports Envoys work with female athletes to promote women empowerment. The two Sports Envoys are experienced coaches in the United States. Linda Hamilton won a world championship as a member of the US National Women’s Soccer Team at the 1991 World Cup.
The program began in Hanoi on April 18 then move to Northern mountainous province of Son La on 20 and 21 and then in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh city from 22 to 28.
