Vietnamese film to be screened in Saudi Arabia
PANO – The Vietnamese film, titled “Father and son,” will be screened in February at Saudi Arabia’s King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (also known as Ithra), which has been listed as the world's top 100 must-visit places.
Directed by Director Luong Dinh Dung, the 90-minute long film is an emotional and beautiful story about paternal love. In the film, Moc carries his son, named Ca, on his back to help the little child foster and pursue his dream.
Released in 2017, the film has attracted the attention from both domestic and international viewers and been screened at different international film festivals. In 2019, the film won the NETPAC category at the Barcelona Asian Film Festival in Spain.
“Father and Son” has been highlighted by international newspapers. Many articles also depict the father’s and his son’s journey as an overview of the beauty of Vietnamese landscapes and praise the Vietnamese people who always want to pursue their dreams.
After Saudi Arabia, the film will be introduced in eight countries around the world.
