The 95-minute Vietnamese film, released in 1995, will compete for prizes with many other foreign films in the world.
The movie tells a story about the life of a boy named Ca (Fish), and his beloved father, who has led his whole life on a trawler travelling up and down the river. Ca always dreams of touching clouds up in the sky and of visiting fancy lands as in fairy tales, told by a blind old man living nearby.
But, Ca, who suffers from a fatal disease, does not have enough time to be mature or to wait till his father could catch enough fish for money to treat him.
This is the 15th annual movie event of Boston with the participation of many films around the world. According to the organizing panel, the participating films in this event have strictly been selected from 3,281 entries to compete in 17 categories at the festival.
