The contest is one of the activities to realize the capital city of Hanoi’s commitment to enhancing international cooperation among cities as a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN). It is also an opportunity for students to show their creativity, feelings, and viewpoints via sketches of the Temple of Literature’s architecture, objects, and statues.

The organizing panel hands over the first prize to the winner

Since its launch two months ago, the contest has received hundreds of entries. Although the contest has the same topic, students show their different perspectives of this famous architecture in their drawings.

With various materials, students depict different beautiful angles of this nearly one thousand-year-old relic.

PhD Tran Hau Yen The, an instructor from the Vietnam University of Fine Arts, highly valued the creativity and talent of the contestants in particular and Hanoi students in general.

The first prize was presented to a sketch named “Khue Van Pavilion”. The organizers also awarded two second, three third, and eight consolation prizes to the top sketches.

Apart from the awarded sketches, the organizers also selected 40 other sketches to display.
