Thang Long Imperial Citadel organizes incense offering ceremony
PANO - The Thang Long – Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, in coordination with the Thang Long – Hanoi Cultural Heritage Association, organized an incense offering ceremony to commemorate ancestors for their contribution to the country on February 18 at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel.
The program was started with a dragon dance performed by artists from Trieu Khuc village, symbolizing wishes for luck in the new year and emphasizing the martial spirit and the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source."

The ceremony was conducted solemnly, following the ancient traditions of the Thang Long Imperial Citadel. Additionally, there were cultural activities featuring the participation of Trieu Khuc Dragon Team of Thanh Tri district and Ha Yen Quyet Drum Team of Cau Giay district, and more.
The incense offering ceremony is an annual ritual held at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, signifying a connection to the roots of the nation and honoring the traditional values of the Thang Long Imperial Citadel.

In just seven first days of the lunar Year of the Dragon, the Thang Long Imperial Citadel welcomed 60,000 visitors. This was an encouraging sign for Hanoi’s tourism sector, specifically, for the Thang Long Imperial Citadel. In 2024, the heritage aims to attract 1 million visitors, becoming an appealing destination for both domestic and international tourists in the capital city of Hanoi.
