PANO - A ceremony to announce the decision and grant a certificate of the national relic site by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to the Tau O commanding post was held on July 18th in Tan Khai commune, Hon Quang district, Binh Phuoc Province.
The victory at the Tau O commanding post, made by Division 7, South Vietnam National Liberation Army, in 1972 during the Nguyen Hue campaign, held back various counter-attacks by Sai Gon puppet troops to re-capture An Loc and Loc Ninh districts.
Since 2010, the Binh Phuoc People’s Committee has repaired and improved some items in the relic site, including statues, memorial stele and a guest house.
