In 2022, SEA Games 31 will take place in Hanoi and some neighboring localities from May 12 to May 23. This is the second time Vietnam has hosted the SEA Games since SEA Games 22 in 2003.

The event is held biennially, attracting the participation of 11 Southeast Asian countries. Sports during the event are managed by the Southeast Asian Games Federation, and observed by the International Olympic Committee and the Olympic Council of Asia.

The stamp background is stylized with the ASEAN symbol, representing the cohesion of the countries in the ASEAN Community, which is on the way to prosperity and development.

The stamp collection includes four stamps sized 43x32mm and a block sized 80x100mm, with the value of VND 4,000 VND and VND 15,000, respectively. The collection was designed by painters The Vinh and Nguyen Du (from the Vietnam Post Corporation) and provided on the postal network from May 12, 2022 to December 31, 2023.

SEA Games 31’s logo and Mascot have been provided and allowed to be used by the event’s organizing panel while sports images have been provided and allowed to be used for the stamp design.
