In his speech, General Nghia emphasized that the festival is an occasion to review public art and culture movements in military units over the past time.

It also aims to boost cultural exchanges between armed forces and civilian youths to further build a positive cultural environment in the current national construction and defense cause, he added.

Following the success of the festival hosted in Region 1-Ho Chi Minh City and Region 2-Da Nang city, the event in Hanoi gathers nearly 1,200 artists from 33 art troupes.

Notably, their performances will focus on featuring the solidarity between the armed forces and people in building up the people's defense posture, and praising patriotism and cultural identities of the country.

During the eight-day festival, the participating art troupes will also perform in several localities and military units in Hanoi.
