The Vietnamese embassy in France held a ceremony on May 22 to put in place the Ho Chi Minh Statue on the occasion of his 117th birthday.
The statue, 100 kg in weight and 1m in height, was brought to France by a Vietnamese delegation led by Nguyen Bac Son, Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee. The delegation studied at the France Administrative College.
Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Nguyen Dinh Bin emphasized the significance of the event and expressed respect and gratefulness to Uncle Ho-a national hero and the world cultural activist. He reaffirmed the determination of the embassy and other Vietnamese representative agencies in France to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example, contribute to fulfilling the tasks set by the 10th National Party Congress, and continue to boosting the Doi Moi (Renewal) process for the sake of a strong country, and an equitable, democratic and civilised society.
